Provides local literacy providers with access to current information and training and pursue a collaborative, community-based research agenda. The New Orleans Area Literacy Initiative convenes representatives from adult basic education providers and community groups in a 5-parish area.

Afterschool Partnership brings together key stakeholders in Afterschool programming to participate in planning, training, information sharing, and networking. The collaborative is currently comprised of more than 400 organizations that provide programming and care to school-age children during out of school time hours.

Substance Abuse Services Alliance (SASA)

SASA administers an ongoing collaborative process to plan, coordinate and monitor a comprehensive continuum of effective substance abuse/dependency treatment and prevention services. This includes planning, needs assessment, evaluation and resource/fund development.

New Orleans Neighborhood Development Collaborative (NONDC)

NONDC is a partnership of funders and local leaders in the community development field whose purpose is to reinvigorate the physical, economic, and social fabric of New Orleans' neighborhoods by supporting the professional development of community-based development corporations (CDCs) and to expand and stabilize the community development industry in the New Orleans area.

Arts Council of New Orleans

The official arts agency for the City of New Orleans, the Arts Council works in partnership with city government to meet the needs of the community based on three guiding principles: supporting the rich and diverse cultures that define this city, acting as an advocate for the cultural community, and promoting the arts as a business and a means of economic development.

Unity for the Homeless

Unity's goals are to assist homeless persons to become self-sufficient and regain self-esteem; to engage in planning and policy evaluation efforts to maximize the use of existing resources; to allow for a systemic approach for tapping significant new funds and encouraging collaborative efforts; and to advocate for policy changes affecting homelessness.
